Self-pay rates and uninsured care
This page lists Femmecare’s official rates for 2026. We are required to publish these rates. For most patients they are for information only.
If you have Dutch health insurance, you do not pay these rates yourself.

Your health insurer pays. With a referral from your GP, care at Femmecare is insured care. Your health insurer reimburses the invoice in full or for a large part.

Any personal contribution is waived by us. If your health insurer does not reimburse everything, we waive the remaining part as a gesture of goodwill. You do not pay it.

Only your own risk may apply. If your statutory own risk has not yet been used up, (part of) the invoice may fall under it, just as in a hospital.

Which rate applies to you?
There are two kinds of rates. Which one applies depends on the care you receive and on your situation.
Self-pay rate
A fixed price per care pathway
A self-pay rate is the fixed price a care provider charges when there is no price agreement (contract) with your health insurer, or when you are not insured. Every care provider is required to publish these prices.
You pay the self-pay rate yourself if, for example, you:
- do not have Dutch health insurance;
- deliberately choose to pay for the care yourself.
Uninsured care
Care outside the basic insurance package
Some care is not covered by basic health insurance. For example:
- a consultation or test without a referral, at your own request;
- a single test, such as an STI test or HPV test;
- having an IUD fitted without a referral.
Fixed prices per consultation or procedure apply to these.
No-show
Appointment not kept
If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance (on working days), or do not attend, we may charge a no-show fee. Your health insurer does not reimburse this fee.
You will find the no-show fee in the uninsured care table.
How do I read the self-pay rate table?
- One price for your entire care pathway. In medical specialist care you do not pay per visit, but one price for all the care belonging to a single care request: the consultations, examinations and treatments together. This is called a care product (zorgproduct).
- Look up your care request. The rates are grouped by care request, for example menopause symptoms or contraception. Click a care request to see the rates.
- The care product depends on what happens. One or two visits carry a lower rate than more visits or a treatment. Which care product applies is only known once the care pathway has ended.
- The codes (care product code and claim code) also appear on your invoice, so you can compare the invoice with this table.
Uninsured care rates 2026
